My friends and I arrived in Vegas on Friday afternoon.
My outfit for the five-hour car ride and for the walk to Caesar’s Palace:
Outfit: F21 dress (2007), F21 Wedges (2011), BR Cardigan (2006)
Accessories: Small Gold Hoop Earrings (gift in high school), F21 Bangles (2011), Multicolored Bangles (gift from a friend during her medical trip to India, 2008), Initial and Rhinestone Pendant Necklace (from my dad and mum; old)
Vibe: Casual Glam (?)
Occasion: Out and About (I was pretty proud of the fact that I drove most of the way to Vegas…and without any road rage incidents!)
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan, which was not a very far walk to Caesar’s to get to the Numb Bar (I wrote about the bar here).
This time around I mixed the mango with the strawberry, and I also added another shot (I thought it was worth it).
Friend GINGA & Sam on the way back from Numb Bar/Caesar’s Palace.
***Friday Evening***
Friend Sam’s outfit – I really liked Sam’s outfit because it was simple, but also very dressy and chic.
My outfit (pretty much the same as above, except that I removed my cardigan and added the BaubleBar luxe white wrap and wore it as a necklace):
Per Ginga (pronounced like “Ginger,” but more like “Ging-ah”), I fixed my hair. Apparently, my hair in the afternoon was not dressy enough, heh.
On the way to dinner:
Ginga, Lola, Jessica, Mia, Allie, Sam, Elle (all fake names)
Dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi in the Cosmopolitan
Sushi (I can’t remember the names of the rolls, but the Rainbow roll was in the middle – ALL of them were delicious)
Steak (the waiter brought us extra tempura onions in addition to the one on the plate above – we were so hungry that the waiter joked, “I was afraid you guys would stab my hand!”)
Wild Mushrooms
Prawns
GINGA Creme Brulee Bread Pudding (thanks, Elle!)
(Apologies – this is partially how the girls came up with “Ginga’s” fake name – Ginga said she liked “ginger,” but on the television, there was a Power Ranger look-alike called “Ginga Red,” and thus “Ginga” was born. Yeah…you had to be there.)
Chocolate Flourless Cake with Green Tea Ice Cream (it was amazing!)
My friends and I basically only had Starbucks and some snacks from the morning until we had dinner, so we were ravenous by the time we went to dinner. The waiter wasn’t joking when he said he was afraid we’d eat his hand. He’d bring us one plate…and by the time the next one came, we’d already be done with the one he’d just brought out!
All the girls on this bachelorette trip: Jessica (the Bachelorette), Mia, Ginga, Elle, Sam, Allie, CC (QfFS/me), and Lola
You may be wondering why we have fake names…we used to all go clubbing together a few years ago, and we didn’t want to give out our real names (there are some creeper sauces out there), so we came up with fake names for ourselves. [Those names are pretty useful for the purposes of this blog as well.] Ginga’s real name is actually already a nickname so we never gave her a “fake name,” but now she’s GINGA!
GINGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
